I would tell him that he should not trust anyone and he needs to start making friends with some of the society. Also, he needs to start storing extra supplies because he will need it later. The reason I would tell him this is because he already knows that Jane is  robot so he really does not know who else may or may not be one. I would also tell him to store up because if there ever came a time of which he could escape he could have the neccesary materials needed for it.

Another thing I would tell him is that he needs to be careful around most of the Havoc. The reason I would tell him this is because Havoc starts causing a lot of well, Havoc and does not know how to act to proper way in some situations. Havoc also will start going against Benson and things get odd with him.

Over all he just needs to be more careful with his surroundings. He needs to make wise choices with friends. Also, he needs to stay safe and keep a watchful eye for the cameras.

number 4

I would ask him why he has not got out and I don't know why he is just sitting there trying to figure out what is happening. I would have told him to get the people he like and get out with them so their is more people with you and you are not alone. Also would say would you rather get out and be free or stay in the that place and maybe not live like die. I would ask him why did the people that took you out of foster care not keep you why did they not want you. When the people that took you to the place you are at know why did they take you and what did the say.

How many people was their when you joined and how many people has died from them people killing them or just dying. Also how many people got out and how did the do it because you could use the same thing they did to get out. I would ask if they had any kind of guns or weapons they could take to get out or any tools that could open the gate. I would ask how many people has tried what I just said and maybe tell him to cut the gate open to run out of it. I would also ask why doesn't he beat the people up that took him their to stay forever and ever.

What Would You Say To Your Main Character Right Now?

I would tell Benson that he is overreacting about being at Maxfield, he should just calm down and not worry about trying to get out of the school. I would also tell Benson that he is fine being at the school and it isn't as bad as he thinks it it. Benson is just overall reacting bad about being at maxfield and should just calm down and not be so worried about escaping.
I would say that Benson is overreacting because all he cares about every minute is trying to escape the school when he should just relax and enjoy instead of being paranoid all the time.

blog post 3 author

My author is Robison Wells and he has wrote books like this like the series and all of the others are like scary and don't know what will happen. I think he wrote the books because I think that he just like what he writes about and I think that he is just writing for people to entertain. Robison Wells is a guy that started writing when he was a teen and he has always like writing and reading. The books he write are like crazy and you want to know what is going to happen next because in the book variant you don't know what they are going to do to get out and everything is crazy how they treat them.
The author is Robison Wells. In his lifetime he has written are Variant, Feedback, Going Dark, Black Out, and Dead Zone. I think they wrote this book to entertain readers about people trapped in a place like school where some kids that are at this level of reading some times feel like they are stuck at school.

Do A Little Research On Your Author!

The author i have is Robison Wells. Wells has written Blackout, Feedback, Dead Zone, and Going Dark. Robison wells probably wrote this book to entertain people with a mystery on why the school is so mysterious.

blog post 2

Trying to get out of where he is at because he does not like it there and because they people try to tell them what to do. Yes I think he will solve it because he is trying to get out of the school and get everybody else out of the school. I think it is man vs society because it is him vs the group that took them but also there is the people that live there with him at the school. I think that it is that he when they told him they couldn't leave the school or the house thing or when the kids were all kinda fighting.

Post main conflict?

The Characters in the story are struggling with not getting out and hard rules that can make them have detention, which is basically death.People are trying to escape and there are different groups that can give you access to rooms that could possibly help with your escape. I do think they could. But The only way they probably could is if they hurt or kill the society or somehow get their access bands.

Variant

I think that he is really sneaky, because he was going to sneak out, but he didn't because he found something out. I think that Benson likes Becky, because how he was talking to her in the 1st and 2nd chapter and how they was hanging out. I like Benson, because he seems like he is cool, and he like what I like to do, and think I would do to people or anything. Also I think that Benson is trying to impress her by showing off what he can do. They was really strict about the gate and everything because they did not want them to get out they wanted them to stay forever. Just like the two people tried to get out of the gate last time.
I learned that Benson has been in foster care since he was 5 and that he has been with a lot of foster families and has been to a lot of schools. I learned that Benson wasn't used to having people wear casual clothes more casual than he is used to at his old public school, because in the story he seemed confused. I also learned that Benson likes to ask questions when he wants to know something, like when he wanted to know about why the school was why it was he asked Becky specific questions about the kids trying to run away and why they don't have any calendars.

What impression of your main character do you have so far? -Shallon

Their actions have told me who they are by their thoughts, actions, and the way they handle the situation that they are in.  I have learned that he has a habit of over thinking. He also likes to be around people and does not like making a scene about things. He usually forgets about things when hes doing something fun. He finds out the truth easily.I dislike him because if I knew him or was him I would want to stay with the people in the school because if I was in his situation of being in foster care and being passed around to different houses constantly. I think Benson needs to chill and just let it come with the flow if he is ever or might get out of Maxfield Academy.I also think that Benson has dark hair, like to wear the usual school clothes that they give you, and has a small frame because it seems that he runs alot.

Welcome!

Welcome to your Literature Circle's blog! You will be using this space to discuss and share your ideas with other Bode students reading your chosen book. Before we get started, here's a refresher on how we use our blogs at Bode!

When Posting...

  1. Reread your post for mistakes before you post it!
  2. Don't bother other peoples' posts! You are sharing this space. Don't open a post unless you are its author.
  3. Focus on your responses-- not fancy fonts, not cutesy pictures, not making people laugh. This is a space for you to dig into and discuss the text!
  4. Use images if you want, but don't use them if they are distracting. Any posts with distracting visuals will lose points when graded-- only use meaningful pictures.
  5. Don't spoil the book for anyone!

When responding...

  1. Don't be a jerk when you reply to a blog post. Correcting spelling and grammar is ALWAYS off-limits-- that's not your job! Your response should be positive and supportive of your peer's writing. If you don't agree with what they are posting, that's fine! Just make sure that when you express your opinion, you do it in a way that isn't mean or insulting. Your goal is to add to a conversation-- not to shut one down. Remember! If you can't say something nice, don't say anything at all!
  2. If something isn't clear or is left untouched in the original post, ask away! Comments are a great way to suggest new blog posts or to begin a conversation.
  3. Don't just say "I agree" and move on-- dig into the text! Use what you already know to spark a discussion!
  4. Don't spoil the book for anyone!
